Jillian is beyond thrilled and honored to be back in her hometown, performing with the DSO! It seems as though just yesterday she was performing in pigtails at the fairgrounds as a ten year old for the Summer Pops Concert! Jillian is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan, where she recently received her BFA in Musical Theatre. Some favorite regional credits include: June (Gypsy), Dyanne (Million Dollar Quartet), Anita (West Side Story), and Miranda (The Tempest). Film/TV appearances include: Adidas “How To Create” Campaign (Nat’l Spot) and Sheryl in “Present Day” (Traverse City Film Festival). Jillian has worked on several musical workshops, including Disney Theatrical’s Bedknobs & Broomsticks with legendary Disney composer, Richard Sherman, himself, and with the famed band, Air Supply, on their world premiere of Dance With Me. She was also a two-time national finalist in the Great American Songbook Competition. Jillian was selected to perform on both the stages of Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center, and has had the privilege of performing with some brilliant artists, including Kristin Chenoweth, Hunter Foster, Andrew Lippa, and Shoshana Bean. She is the proud recipient of the prestigious Gavin Creel and Celia Keenan-Bolger Award for Artistic Excellence and Activism, as well as the Andrew Lippa Scholarship Award. She now resides and performs in New York City, and collaborates in a pop duo with her talented beau called: Shawn and Jill. Jillian would like to thank William Intriligator and the DSO for the warm welcome back, and her family for their unending support.
