Third Annual Gala
An Intimate Evening with Simon Estes

Grand River Center, Dubuque

Friday, January 25, 2008

This year, we are joined by internationally acclaimed bass baritone Simon Estes, who will perform and entertain you at our annual DSO Gala. Mr. Estes has sung at the world's major opera houses as well as in front of presidents, popes and internationally renowned figures such as Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon, Boris Yeltsin, Yassar Arafat, Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu.

Known for his humanitarian efforts as well as his voice, Mr. Estes has established foundations to award students merit-based college scholarships, to provide support for children’s healthcare and to support the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Special added attraction - the Wahlert High School A Cappella Choir was such a hit at the Holiday Pops Concerts that we've invited them back to entertain us at the Gala.

This will surely be an unforgettable evening.

Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available at 5:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. with the entertainment to follow.

Reservations are $100/person. You may reserve a table for 10 for $900.

Black tie optional.

Make your reservations no later than January 17 through the Symphony office (563-557-1677).
