Educational events include:

Sound Bites - an entertaining and educational luncheon with Maestro Intriligator and the guest artist. This year the luncheons will be on Friday's prior to each Classical Concert.

Musical Musings - a free pre-concert lecture before each Sunday Classical concert.

Arts Trek - educational symphony concert experiences for third graders.

Family Concert - a special concert for children and their families complete with an instrument petting zoo.

There are many opportunities throughout the year to show your support for the DSO/DSOL:

• Style Show
• Fundraising events like the Cookie Dough Sale in the fall, and geranium sale in the spring.
• The traditional Independence Pops Concert on the Saturday before July 4.
• Many other fun events including a bus trip to Ravinia, Opening Concert reception, and Suite Finale.
