The Festive Overture is a short and rousing concert opener. Famously called the Mt. Everest of the repertoire, Rachmaninoff's third is one of the most technically demanding and musically rewarding concertos for piano. Jon Nakamatsu returns to Dubuque as the featured soloist.

Few works can match the orchestral color and sheer excitement of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Experience it live as the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra closes out the 2013 - 2014 classics season!

Since his dramatic 1997 Van Cliburn Gold Medal triumph, Jon Nakamatsu's brilliant but unassuming muscianship and eclectic repertoire have made him a clear favorite throughout the world both on the concert circuit and in the recording studio.
