Ann Duchow is Associate Concertmaster for the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra. She has performed in numerous musicals on stage and in the pit and is the former director the the Dubuque Youth String Ensemble, Philharmonia and the Dubuque Senior High School Orchestra. Currently a faculty member at Clarke University, Mrs. Duchow also maintains a private violin/viola studio and is the director of the alternate string group, the Dubuque Fiddlers.

Mrs. Duchow graduated from Lawrence University Conservatory with a B. Mus degree in music education, has completed course work for Suzuki Pedagogy levels 1-post 10, and has continued Suzuki education with John Kendell, Doris Preucil and Scott Conklin.

Mrs. Duchow, her husband Frank and two personable cats live in a 100-year-old house in Dubuque. Their daughter Emilie, is a bike shop owner in the St. Louis area, and Nyssa (a former Youth Orchestra Concertmaster, and current actor), has just completed a national tour of the musical, “Once”.
