Kevin Price-Brenner

Kevin Price-Brenner

First season with the DSO: 2002 - 2003

Hometown: Oklahoma City, OK

Education: BME (Instrumental with Vocal Endorsement) and a BM in Cello Performance, both from Oral Roberts University; MM in Cello Performance (Orchestral Career Studies) from University of Nevada, Reno; DMA candidate in Cello Performance from University of Iowa.

My earliest musical memory: Being taken out of 1st grade music class in order to go to speech to work on my “R’s” and “S’s”.

I knew I would make a career in music when: I realized being a veterinarian would involve contact with people who might’ve been cruel to their animals. At least nobody dies in music...apart from singers in tragic operas.

Favorite thing about performing music: Making friends and having something in common with others.

A special story about my instrument: His name is Luigi, and he’s Italian.

Other than performing music, I’ve always thought it might be fun to be a: Zookeeper

One thing people don’t know about me: I breed and show champion Cardigan Welsh Corgis.
