Joseph Aumann is Principal Trombone with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, starting in the 2016-2017 season. He hails from Hartford, WI, and received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University, and is currently pursuing a Performer Diploma at Indiana University- Bloomington. He is the former Principal Trombone of the Chippewa Valley Symphony of Eau Claire, WI, and recently played one season as Bass Trombonist with the Festival City Symphony of Milwaukee. He has performed with other ensembles such the Aspen Music Festival Orchestra, the American Academy of Conducting Orchestra at Aspen, the Racine Symphony (WI), the Richmond Symphony (IN), and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Thrilled to be joining the Dubuque Symphony, his biggest passion is being involved in live, symphonic music.
